Milwaukee Bucks To Plan Hotel Development Near Fiserv Forum 2020

Peter Feigin, President of the Milwaukee Bucks said they received up to 14 proposals from countrywide developers across the country for two hotel projects that would be located near the Fiserv forum including the old BMO Harris Bradley Center Site.

“We’re thrilled with the submissions” said Feigin regarding the proposals the organization received.

Over the next few weeks The Milwaukee Bucks will spend time reading through and dissecting these proposals and will pick two to three finalists. According to Feigin, after choosing the finalist there will be at least one to two months spent on refining those proposals

The Bucks' requests for proposals were for a hotel with 175 to 200 rooms and a hotel with 250 or more rooms, which is more of a full-service hotel, Feigin said.

In March, the Bucks released renderings of what the team hopes it will be able to develop on 30 acres in downtown Milwaukee around Fiserv Forum, including several office buildings, hotels and apartment developments. The master plan calls for six to eight buildings with multiple new buildings starting to the north and east of the arena along McKinley and Old World Third and an additional two to three buildings south and west.

The Milwaukee Bucks have further developed a master plan for up to 30 acres around Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee.

The Bucks won't be able to put shovels in the ground for another year, but the strategy is they prepare themselves to break ground after the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee in July 2020.
